Join Our Team as a RN | Outpatient Specialty Surgery! 📍 Logan Health Medical Center – Kalispell, Montana🕒 Variable Shift | PRN status Your Role: As an RN in our Outpatient Specialty Surgery clinic, you’ll be the cornerstone of patient care. You’ll assess patients, anticipate care needs, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure each patient’s visit is smooth, safe, and supportive. Whether you’re providing medication education, coordinating care plans, or supporting the surgical team – you’re helping patients feel empowered and cared for every step of the way. Key Responsibilities: + Perform and document thorough patient assessments, incorporating clinical judgment and patient perspectives. + Develop individualized care plans and revise them as patient needs evolve throughout the visit. + Collaborate closely with physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure continuity of care. + Review medication lists, educate patients on treatment plans, and administer medications per provider orders. + Identify and address safety concerns proactively to protect both patients and team members. + Support ongoing clinical education and competency development for team members. + Champion department standards and protocols while delivering personalized, compassionate care. What You Need: Basic Qualifications: + Current Montana RN License (or compact license with MT practice authorization) – required. + CPR certification (HCP level) – required. + ACLS and PALS certification – may be required in certain departments and must be obtained within 6 months of hire. + Tech-savvy with comfort using Microsoft Office and EMR platforms. + Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and a proactive, team-first attitude. Apply today and be part of something bigger at Logan Health! ----- Qualifications: + Current Montana RN License or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required. + BSN degree preferred. + Current HCP CPR certification required. + Minimum of two (2) years’ nursing experience preferred. + Current ACLS and PALS certification may be required in certain departments and successfully obtained within six (6) months of hire. + Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently. + Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences. + Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. + Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed. Job Specific Duties: + Performs patient assessment. Utilizes all available sources of information and incorporates the patient’s perception of illness. + Develops an individualized plan of care for each patient and updates the plan throughout the visit as appropriate. + Consistently identifies safety issues concerning the patient and staff during visit. + Independently reviews medication lists and provides ongoing medication or treatment education at the directive of physician or advanced practice provider. + Coordinates with healthcare team to provide continuity of care. + Participates in the development and delivery of education and competency validation of clinical staff. + Utilizes department Standard of Care and individualizes care provided on an on-going basis per department standards. + Administers medications per provider order. + Demonstrates a commitment to professionalism while undertaking and completing all department competencies . Shift: Variable (United States of America) 📍 Logan Health Medical Center – Kalispell, Montana🕒 Variable Shift | PRN status Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed. PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs. Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
