This is a part time, 24 hour per week position.
Qualifications:
Graduate of RN program from an accredited school of Nursing.Current MT Nursing License.Minimum of three (3) years of customer service or public relations experience in a healthcare setting required.Proven ability to prioritize and complete projects in an autonomous manner.Demonstrated ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts.Possess and maintain computer skills, data-entry and data analysis required; ability to graph data preferred. Knowledge of CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) standards regarding Customer Service and Patient’s Rights standards preferred.Proven problem-solving, analytical skills and organizational/time management skills required.Able to travel off-site locations for education, trainings and community meetings.Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.Job Specific Duties:
Adheres to the code of professional nursing and maintains current, thorough knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.Thoroughly and accurately assesses initial and on-going data pertinent to patient care and communicates assessment to practitioner. Maintains patient confidentiality and always displays respect for patient dignity.Provides accurate, complete, and timely documentation of nursing procedures in the medical record, utilizing appropriate reporting mechanisms, as required by LHCB standards and the law. Provides appropriate information, counseling, and educational resources to allow the patient to participate in their care.Administers routine immunizations, therapeutic injections and skin tests. Maintains appropriate and accurate documentation of results in the medical record.Participates in the performance of clinical procedures including but not limited to, blood pressure checks, documentation of medications, venipunctures, and routine treatments such as inhalation therapy, catheterization, dressing changes, within the scope of nursing practice and under the supervision of the provider.Complies with all infection control and safety procedures in the disposal of any waste materials to include bio-hazardous waste.Provides daily environmental cleaning and equipment quality control and maintenance. Orders and maintains current inventory of medication (ensuring medication checks for outdated medications), supplies, and other materials as needed by the clinical staff. Ensures emergent medications and IV trays are properly stocked and maintained.Participates in and obtains continuing education requirements and programs consistent with the level and scope of nursing practice. Assists with the orientation of new personnel. Remains in compliance with all LHCB policies and procedures as well as State and Federal regulations.The above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification. Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
