Summary
As the champion of evidence-based wound and ostomy care, assumes responsibility and accountability for wound and ostomy care for the inpatient and outpatient population. Provides direct care, as needed, to patients and is an expert resource to the Medical staff and nursing staff regarding wound/ostomy care. Conducts outpatient consultation visits either through scheduled appointments or in the home (as requested by Home Care/Hospice).
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree in nursing with current Indiana state license to practice as a registered nurse
Preferred Education MSN
Minimum Experience Completed wound ostomy program
Preferred Experience Advanced practice
Certifications Required: CPR Certification, Ability to successfully obtain wound ostomy certification
Certification Preferred: Wound ostomy certification
