RMF Water Spider / 1st Shift
Job Description

The water spider is responsible for transportation of materials to and from different operations to allow machine operators to concentrate on value added activities. This material can include but not limited to rubber, wire, yarn, pallets, and raw materials. The water spider is accountable for keeping material supplied to all operations by providing the right parts, at the right time and the right place. The water spider will spend most of their time moving around the production floor on an assigned route to ensure all operations in the assigned area are properly supplied with materials.

This is a 1st Shift position.

Job Responsibilities Ensure the required materials are always available at the agreed place and time Prepare, communicate, and execute a plan to effectively provide material needed to run the next job in queue for braiders Coordinate with Supervisors, Team Leaders, and operators to ensure materials are ready to run when scheduled. Maintain correct levels of Work in Process at all equipment in the assigned area. Ensure that material and storage in their area of assignment appears clean. React and take immediate actions in case of changes in priority Participate in continuous improvement and root cause problem solving (RCPS) Work according to standard operating procedures. Complete all transactions Assist with changeovers when needed Properly label material Flexible enough to assist other shifts as needed
Ability to come in early or stay later than scheduled shift to ensure all lines are properly supplied for the next shift. Background & Skills High School diploma or Equivalent - Required and verified.  Excellent attendance record. Strong performance record.   A proactive team player who is a self-started with constant attention to improvement Must possess excellent reasoning and communication skills This role will require a high level of energy, and problem-solving abilities. Ability or Willingness to drive Forklift if required. Previous Material Handling experience preferred. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.   Effective communication skills.  Problem solving. Work in a team environment.

Physical Requirements

Entire shift is spent walking or standing. Must be able to stand for 8 hours a day. Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate. Pushing carts full of bobbins Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently Occasionally: 50 pounds or more Vision to accurately read all necessary production documents and computer monitor screens Employee Benefits
