This includes the development of scientific solutions in the field of solid-state analytics for drug substances as well as for oral solid dosage forms. Our mission is to ensure the uniform distribution of API within powder blends, addressing issues like API attrition during mixing and solid-form changes (e.g. hydrate formation due to humidity exposure). By employing advanced techniques such as Dynamic Vapor Sorption (DVS) with in-situ Raman spectroscopy and Morphologi G3-ID, we seek to characterize physical properties and blend homogeneity as well as monitoring solid-form changes, then integrate these standardized analyses into our core analytical portfolio.

You will support Pharmaceutical R & D (Research and Development) in the field of solid-state analytics. This includes:

Development of scientific solutions in the field of solid-state analytics

Utilization of advanced techniques like Dynamic Vapor Sorption (DVS) with in-situ Raman spectroscopy for the monitoring of solid-form changes due to humidity exposure

Utilization of Morphologi G3-ID to assess blend uniformity and particle attrition

Characterization of physical properties (size, shape) and blend homogeneity before and after mixing

Integration of standardized analytical methods into the core portfolio to support drug substance and drug product development

Your work will involve planning and carrying out laboratory work as well as interpreting, documenting, and presenting your results. You will be supported by experts in the field who will encourage you to come with your own ideas and suggestions. To this end, you may also interact with experts outside the team and consult the scientific literature.
