Job Duties: Associate, Credit Risk with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Assess the credit and financial strength of the Firm's Financial Institution and Central Counterparties (CCP) counterparts. Perform fundamental credit analysis of both quantitative and qualitative credit factors. Determine the Firm’s credit risk appetite across derivatives, loans, funding, and deposits. Approve derivative and funding transactions while ensuring appropriate documentation and risk mitigants to protect against default and minimize potential losses. Perform credit underwriting of lending transactions, contribute credit recommendations, and support the Firm’s capital committee approval process. Recommend internal and regulatory risk ratings for counterparts and transactions. Proactively monitor and assess counterparts and industry subsectors.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Applied Business Analytics, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years with: conducting internal credit reviews involving analysis of quantitative and qualitative metrics and recommending internal credit ratings and regulatory risk ratings; negotiating and reviewing Credit Agreement (CA), Amendment & Waivers, and trading agreements; financial Modeling and Valuation including working with Credit Repayment Capacity Modeling, Discounted Cash Flow Analysis, and Comparable and Precedent Transaction Analysis; advanced Microsoft Excel including working with macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and IF/AND formulas; structured query language (SQL); and tableau.
