About The Team And The Role

As a Policy Implementation and Process Specialist your responsibilities will be to support the business through a wide range of daily operational processes. You’ll be part of a team that works to implement, build, and improve the processes that get risky users referred and actioned as quickly and accurately as possible, with a goal to minimize fraud visibility, fraud conversion, fraud loss, and claims. We partner with Policy functional owners to understand their policy and what results they wish to achieve. We then partner closely with GCX, CS Tech, and other teams to operationalize these policies and put them into execution.  We also act as a bridge between Policy and our GCX partners, helping to ensure GCX is prepared for any new policy changes or additions, and we are the point of contact for problem-solving automation or referral volume issues!

What You Will Accomplish:

A quick learner. You can quickly become a domain expert in a variety of different areas and are passionate about learning new things.

Responsible. You take responsibility and ownership of your work and demonstrate this by thinking about how the actions we take can affect others, as well as being accountable for the results of what we do and don't do.

Consistent. Consistency creates accountability and allows for accurate monitoring and measurement. You can demonstrate this in your daily activities.

A trusted partner. You will partner with Policy, Customer Operations, and a global multi-functional team. You will consider impact to global customers when making decisions.

A great teammate.  You work well with others and can be counted on to build proven relationships with people and teams in and outside of our direct organization.

Technologically inclined. You're able to investigate when our processes do not perform as expected and implement any necessary changes.

Proactive. You don’t wait for problems to arise before finding solutions or improvements.  You find ways to make valuable contributions without specific direction.

A good communicator. You have good interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. In addition, you have the ability to positively influence and collaborate with many, varied teams and colleagues.

What You Will Bring:

A domain expert. Your knowledge of eBay’s policies and processes is well-rounded. Having a good understanding of internal systems such as DEX, Agent Desktop, Business Rules, OCS and other systems will also be very useful.

Someone who understands and enjoys Business Process Management and is familiar with understanding and creating business / process flow charts.

Someone who takes pride and responsibility in their work. You not only implement great work, but you are also consistent, and you monitor results closely to ensure it continues to perform.

A creative mind. You think creatively for solutions to complicated situations. You love problem solving and continuous process improvement.

A critical thinker. You will participate in decisions within your team in building new ways to craft, optimize, and maintain risk processes and controls.

A self-starter. You work effectively in an autonomous fashion and demonstrate willingness to enable the success of partners worldwide.

A multi-tasking master. You have successfully taken ownership of project timelines by effectively handling time and appropriately assigning priorities.

A global problem solver, as this is a global role. You are able to build and maintain positive relationships with global and remote partners.
