The Selling Enforcement for Regulatory and Safety Compliance (SERSC) team within RISC is seeking a Risk Manager to help safeguard customers and stores from unsafe, offensive, and non-compliant products while ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
This role will be responsible for implementing and maintaining internal controls and procedures to ensure that only safe and compliant products are available in our stores. The Risk Manager will lead cross-functional initiatives with Legal, Business, Risk, and International teams to enforce compliance policies and proactively address risks impacting our marketplace.
The ideal candidate will have a bias for action, comfort with ambiguity, and strong ownership over their work. They will engage with a wide array of stakeholders, lead high-impact internal initiatives, and play a visible role in protecting Amazon customers and sellers.
This position is also open to candidates in SJO, CR.

1. Develop and implement onboarding processes for new compliance initiatives within Account Health and Seller Enforcement frameworks.
2. Analyze data patterns and seller behaviors to identify potential compliance risks and drive enforcement actions.
3. Maintain and refine SOPs to ensure investigation accuracy, process efficiency, and alignment with regulatory and Amazon policies.
4. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Product Compliance, Risk, and Investigations) to enhance enforcement mechanisms and seller compliance.
5. Identify and drive automation opportunities to streamline compliance investigations and improve global enforcement effectiveness.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives or equivalent
- Experience in program or project management
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience in program requirements definition, together with data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
