As a Vice President within the Auto Risk Management organization, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the Collections Risk Strategy function. Your role will involve leading a team of strategic analysts to devise, implement, and monitor comprehensive collections credit risk management strategies for our auto loan and lease portfolio, with a particular emphasis on digital collections activities. Your background in credit risk management will be crucial as you collaborate closely with stakeholders such as the Operations, Modelling, and Finance teams, articulating risk perspectives, influencing decisions, and addressing business challenges. You will engage with stakeholders across the bank, utilizing data and insights to evaluate the adequacy of collections strategies, identify opportunities for further optimization, and develop innovative products and services to enhance performance. Your role will also require you to provide strategic guidance, effectively manage demand requests from senior leaders and the business, and excel in creative thinking, problem-solving, communication, project and relationship management. A detail-oriented and self-motivated approach is essential for success in this role.
Job responsibilities
Lead a team that is responsible for the development and ownership of the end to end lifecycle of collections Digital risk strategies as well as oversight of operations practices to ensure adherence to risk requirements for both auto loans & leases. Provide and direct complex analysis on credit risk and collections strategy effectiveness in order to identify emerging risks, assess effectiveness of existing strategies, ensure adherence to regulatory guidance and establish a culture of intentional testing in strategic change recommendations and establish risk threshold that help business stay within risk appetite limits Monitor industry and economic trends on automotive industry as well as changes in consumer behavior to understand impacts on collateral values and consumer willingness to repay debt Monitor operations & credit risk strategy performance, establish program performance guardrails and evaluate effectiveness by identifying issues, opportunities and recommend credit & collections actions Challenge partners across supporting businesses to ensure alignment with risk requirements and other Credit Risk limits and metrics Maintaining relationship & dialogue with external regulators and supporting exams Manage and coach a team of high performing, highly motivated analysts to support their professional growth and performance Provide regular updates to senior risk leadership, risk forums, management & credit risk committees and regulators Comfortably answer ambiguous questions by forming a point of view and generating creative solutions that address the requests Participate in senior management requests, including responding to ad-hoc questions and preparing talking points for investor meetings/presentations
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Risk Management (underwriting/credit strategy/credit risk/collections) Experience with SAS, SQL, Teradata/Snowflake and Tableau Superior communication skills, including active listening and the ability to capture and deliver key takeaways from engagements in writing. Strong presence, comfortable interacting with and presenting to all levels of management Strong analytical programming and proficient technical skills in Excel and PowerPoint Strong interpersonal, collaboration, communication and presentation skills Critical eye for detail and strong project management skills Highly motivated, confident, and proactive leader with strong problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, able to perform under pressure and to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines

Strategic analytics experience (minimum 2 years), preferably in financial services industry with consumer credit risk analytics background Master’s degree is preferred People’s manager experience preferred Experience in consumer risk collections preferred Auto industry experience is a plus
