Job Purpose and ImpactThe Insurance Associate will be responsible for developing and cultivating new and existing internal and external relationships. In this role, you will apply substantial knowledge of and experience with insurance products to ensure successful marketing and placement of transactions generated by the Trade and Capital Markets Group and wider Cargill. You will also participate in generating innovation ideas and developing new product strategies.
Key AccountabilitiesManage single buyer insurance policies Foster our broker and insurance relationshipsPartner collaboratively to explore new and ongoing commercial opportunities with tradersAnalysing and understanding financial profiles of sovereigns, financial institutions and corporates in assigned geo marketsPreparing and collating information for marketing of transactions and communicating feedback from the insurance market internallyProviding timely insights on key market developments, products and structuresContribute to generate innovation ideas and develop new product strategiesIndependently handle complex transactions with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues when appropriateQualificationsMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Finance, Business, Economics, Law) or equivalent experienceMore than 5 years underwriting experience in Political Risk and Credit Insurance
Required Skills
Good understanding of letters of credit/standby letters of credit, guarantees, receivable financing, structured trade finance, loan syndicationsGood understanding and knowledge of Political Risk and Credit Insurance policy wordings and termsKnowledge of funded solutionsStrong communication and presentation skills – both written and verbalAbility to make sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems#LI-TG1
