Job Description:

At Regions, the Database Reporting Analyst creates, designs, and runs database reports using report writing tools based on end-user needs. 

Primary Responsibilities

Creates, designs, and runs database reportsUpdates and performs maintenance on existing reportsHandles database administration, data consolidation and management reportingProvides support to research teams or management by collecting and analyzing data and reporting resultsFollows established guidelines and identifies and resolves problems using some independence of thoughtContributes to workflow or process change and redesignOwns regular reporting and process administrationCollaborates with various function teams to achieve business resultsAdheres to the field's concepts, practices, and proceduresRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsApplies creativity and latitude as applicable

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field and three (3) years of reporting and/or data management experienceOr High School Diploma/GED and seven (7) years of reporting and/or data management experience

Preferences

Advanced degree (i.e., Master of Business Administration) or professional designationCertified in Structured Query Language (SQL), Statistical Analysis System (SAS) and other various Microsoft programs

Advanced computer skillsExcellent analytical and time-management skillsExcellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skillsGeneral business knowledgeWorking knowledge of SQL and is proficient in data manipulation and extraction techniques

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.​Key Responsibilities:Design, develop and maintain a relational database or low-code platform to store:Business processes and subprocessesAssociated risks and controlsProduct and regulatory mappingsBuild intuitive intake interfaces (forms, import tools, or Power Apps) for users to input and update process and risk dataMap and document key business processes, controls, and risk exposure across departmentsEnable reporting and visualization of process completeness, control coverage, risk heatmaps, and KRI trends via dashboards (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)Develop automated workflows for versioning, approvals, or control attestationsCollaborate with risk, compliance, and operations teams to ensure taxonomy alignment and usabilityMaintain data quality, integrity, and access control across the platformSupport future integration with GRC, audit, or compliance systems if neededAdditional Preferred Experience: Experience in banking, risk operations, business intelligence, or systems analysisProven experience building relational databases (SQL Server, Postgres, or equivalent)Familiarity with business process mapping tools (e.g. Visio)Solid understanding of risk and control frameworks (e.g. RCSA, SOX)Strong skills in Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization toolsExperience with data intake workflows (e.g. Power Apps, SharePoint, custom forms, API integrations)Excellent communication skills – ability to translate business needs into technical solutionsProject management skills to manage multiple work streams to meet a common objectiveExperience with GRC platforms (e.g., Archer, ServiceNow GRC, Resolver)Familiarity with regulatory mapping frameworks or risk taxonomiesKnowledge of product lifecycle or operational risk in retail/consumer bankingExposure to data governance and control testing environments

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$106,280.00 USD
