*JOB SUMMARY*
The Risk Manager proactively works to prevent patient safety events that may result in patient harm, liability, or loss to the organization. The position also assists the Director of Quality Management with regulatory and accreditation preparedness.
*Minimum Education*
Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred but not required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Business Mathematical Skills -- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of meas-ure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
• Moderate Computer Skills -- Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate simple functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to support business objectives.

If an RN, current licensure by the State of Tennessee or a compact agreement state as a Registered Nurse.

Previous risk management experience required.
Risk management experience in healthcare preferred.
