Join an Industry Leader in Energy Innovation
Our client, a global leader in the energy sector, is seeking a Risk Engineering Manager to lead the safety and risk management efforts across their operational and development assets. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in safeguarding complex projects and infrastructure, while shaping the safety culture and risk standards of a forward-thinking organization.
The Role: As the Risk Engineering Manager, you’ll be at the helm of critical safety and risk engineering activities — including process safety, reliability analysis, and major accident prevention — across both existing operations and future projects. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, facilitate high-level safety studies, and ensure best-in-class safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop enterprise-wide risk management strategies. Conduct and facilitate risk studies including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and QRA. Perform consequence modeling: fire & explosion analysis, toxic gas dispersion, smoke ingress, etc. Oversee Reliability, Availability & Maintainability (RAM) assessments, including FMECA. Collaborate with project, operations, and HSSEQ teams to integrate safety into facility designs. Prepare detailed reports, risk assessments, and communicate findings to stakeholders. Guide and support local engineers and provide training as needed. Monitor effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies and continuously optimize processes. What We're Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred). Experienced in risk engineering, ideally in oil and gas or marine operations. Proven expertise facilitating HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, QRA, RAM, and SIL studies. Strong background in process engineering and P&ID interpretation. Minimum 5 years of experience using consequence modeling software. Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Proficient in MS Office Suite and risk analysis tools. Additional Information: Must be eligible to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship. Onsite role with approximately 10% domestic/international travel. Physical and sensory capabilities consistent with a standard office and occasional site environment. Why Apply? This is a career-defining opportunity to join a respected industry player in a high-impact role. You’ll influence the future of risk engineering and help drive the safe delivery of critical energy operations globally.
