Risk And Compliance Analyst
Job Title: Risk and Compliance Analyst Job Description The Risk and Compliance Analyst will assist in the development, implementation, and administration of programs to ensure compliance with U.S. Export/Import regulations. This includes adhering to guidelines set by the Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Department of State International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Department of Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and other regulatory agencies. Responsibilities + Assist in the development and administration of compliance programs related to U.S. Export/Import regulations. + Ensure adherence to EAR, ITAR, CBP, OFAC, and other regulatory guidelines. + Classify products under EAR/ITAR and ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping. + Manage compliance data using ERP systems like SAP or Oracle. + Conduct restricted party screening and denied party list checks. + Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as engineering, accounting, and logistics. + Train and guide internal teams on compliance procedures. + Support logistics and trade operations, including working with freight forwarders and customs brokers. + Improve processes and maintain audit readiness while adapting to evolving regulations and business needs. Essential Skills + Deep understanding of U.S. trade regulations, including ITAR, EAR, OFAC, CBP, FTR, AES, and related agencies. + Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. + Strong analytical and technical skills. + Excellent attention to detail in documentation and recordkeeping. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. + Experience with international shipping and documentation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred. + 2–5 years of experience in trade compliance, logistics, or import/export operations. + Certifications such as Certified Export Specialist (CES) or Licensed Customs Broker are advantageous. + Experience with ACE, AESDirect, and automated screening tools. + Familiarity with Maquiladora operations or other cross-border manufacturing environments. + Knowledge of global trade agreements and free trade zones. Work Environment The work environment is fast-paced, requiring multitasking and prioritization. The role involves collaboration with various departments and offers opportunities to improve processes and maintain audit readiness. Dress code is business casual. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valencia, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
