Summary In this fast-paced position, you will use your analytical and communications skills to solve complex problems in the risk management and chargeback functions of NCR Payment Solutions. Daily Job Duties + Works daily risk queue, deciding whether transactions held by the system should be released to the merchant or deleted. + Effectively communicates with merchants, sales agents and issuing banks, keeping all constituents well appraised of all holds and releases of funds. + Conducts statistical analysis to identify trends, variations, patterns and insights relating to the performance and fraudulent or suspicious payment transactions. + Sets fraud parameters appropriately to minimize the occurrences of holding good transactions while maximizing the identification of fraudulent transactions and stopping them prior to merchant funding. + Research and analyze account activity to assess the level of risk and make decisions that can directly improve the client experience and risk at NCR. + Work closely with Underwriting to ensure a thorough understanding of the risks associated with newly boarded accounts. + Work closely with Customer Service to ensure the service team is appraised of risk activities that may impact merchants and cause customer service interactions. + Consult with merchants having chargeback problems to respond effectively to chargebacks and develop methods to avoid future chargebacks + Be an integral participant in the shift of the chargeback management function to a new chargeback system. + Assist other team members and perform other tasks within the department as required by management Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience within the payments industry + Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills. Challenge the status quo to generate new ideas, identifying risks upfront and initiating measures to mitigate the risks. + Time management ethics, with a sense of urgency to communicate effectively with merchants and sales agents. Superior verbal and written communication skills. + In-depth knowledge of data analysis and the ability to apply that knowledge in practice. Mastery of Excel pivot tables and strong Microsoft Word skills + Ability to manage competing priorities. + Ability to communicate complex information in a clear, straightforward, and timely manner. + Bankcard Industry experience of at least three years. + Must be able to work well with others, specifically with a team Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job.
