Right of Way and Operations Scheduler
**Job Posting End Date** 09-07-2025 Please note the job posting will close on the day before the posting end date. **Job Summary** Responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of right-of-way (ROW) records and the scheduling and coordination of work for the distribution line and service workforce. This position involves managing land acquisition documents, supporting ROW agents, and ensuring that engineering and non-engineering jobs are scheduled efficiently for the distribution systems. **Job Description** **What You'll Do:** + Maintain property owner files, maps, drawings, exhibits, and progress reports related to ROW. + Administer applicable ROW applications and document systems. + Support ROW agents in maintaining encroachment databases and drafting various legal documents (rights of entry, damage claims, contracts, easements, licenses, leases, etc.). + Research property ownership and easements, assisting in courthouse and records searches. + Respond to customer inquiries regarding AEP easements and landowner documents. + Process payment of invoices through accounting and recordkeeping systems. + Coordinate with customers, engineers, service supervisors, and other stakeholders to meet deadlines and requirements. + Assist in scheduling planned customer service outages and negotiating adjustments to work schedules. + Maintain lease payments and provide information for monthly reports and annual budgets. + Prepare and issue project status reports and assist in functional support for other AEP business units. + Promote and enforce safety practices to safeguard employees, the public, and AEP equipment. + Prepare and maintain a procedures manual for department use. + Provide assistance in the settlement of damage claims and negotiations for land rights. + Assume additional duties as assigned. **What We Are Looking For:** + Associate's degree in business, real estate, engineering technology, or a related field; OR high school diploma/GED with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in business, real estate, distribution operations, or electric systems maintenance. + In addition to any experience requirements above: progression through work scheduling assistant job family or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in related work as determined by the company (distribution operations or right of way procurement, title research, or survey experience preferred). + Physical demand level is sedentary. + Strong analytical, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize work effectively. + Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). + Familiarity with work management systems (DWMS, SPECTRUM, MACSS/OPS) is preferred. ​ \#APCO **Compensation Data** **Compensation Grade:** SP20-005 **Compensation Range:** $61,647.00-77,057.50 USD The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
