Job Type Full-time Description Accurately, safely and efficiently handles all aspects of lifting and handling. Participates in all aspects of lifting and handling by performing duties listed below. + Communicates with supervision and EHS on upcoming lifts. + Inspects rigging materials for conformance to OSHA standards. + Reports rigging material discrepancies to supervision and EHS. + Plans, communicates and executes lifts in a safe and efficient manner. + Compiles and maintains a full inventory list of all lifting and handling equipment. + Adheres to all procedures, work instructions and safety rules. + All other duties as assigned by management Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. + Five years lifting and handling experience in a manufacturing environment. + Two years of experience as an electric overhead bride crane operator in a manufacturing environment. + Must possess or have the ability to obtain NCCO or NCCER certification within 24 months of employment + Two years forklift operating experience. + Ability to read and comprehend load charts and rigging capacity charts. + Good problem-solving skills. + Strong Mathematical skills. + Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language. + Ability to maneuver up to 200 pounds independently. + Ability to safely lift 50 pounds without assistance. + Ability to read a tape measure (standard or metric) and convert them both ways. High school diploma required and/or two to four years of related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
