Job Description
We are seeking a skilled RF Test Technician to utilize complex tools and techniques for testing and troubleshooting RF-based equipment within the DC to 40GHz frequency range. This role requires interpreting data, determining performance quality, and maintaining system logs while ensuring compliance with ISO procedures.
ResponsibilitiesUse complex tools such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, vector-network analyzers, current probes, voltmeters, and precision inspection equipment to test and troubleshoot RF-based equipment.Apply engineering and manufacturing instructions to test assembled electronic units, and interpret electrical schematics.Interpret data using a basic understanding of DC and RF: voltage, current, power, insertion loss, return loss, linearity, phase noise, noise figure, and spectral analysis.Determine acceptable versus faulty performance and repair or adjust as required using standard troubleshooting techniques.Repair or replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components using hand tools and soldering iron.Maintain system logs to document testing and equipment operation.Record and analyze data results from standard test routine formats.Manage multiple tasks and meet established deadlines, requiring good planning, organization, and time management skills.Follow ESD protocols diligently.Maintain a clean, safe work area compliant with ISO procedures, policies, and regulations.Essential SkillsExperience with electronics and test equipment.Strong troubleshooting and soldering skills.Proficiency in using power meters, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.Ability to read and interpret electronic and mechanical diagrams.5+ years of formal electronic and mechanical assembly experience.Excellent communication skills and good analytical and problem-solving skills.Works well as part of a small team with high output.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with cavity filters and frequency converters is a plus.Simple programming skills are a plus.Computer proficiency using various software programs, including Microsoft Office and factory test software.Knowledge of Excel formulas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
