RF Simulation Engineer

Join our Engineering Design Services team to work on cutting-edge high-frequency simulation projects that drive innovative product design across Resideo globally. We are looking for RF Simulation Engineer who will cooperate with Electronic Engineers and PCB Layouters across our company worldwide. The new team member will focus on innovative antenna simulation projects and bringing them into real products used in thousands of homes.
 

JOB DUTIES:
 

Calculation of the antenna radiation patterns in the whole product environment. This includes PCB, plastics, LCD display and other objects that can influence the radiation pattern. Bands used 0.4, 0.9, 2.4 and 5GHz. Antenna radiation patterns optimization by tuning its location, shape, antenna type, ground plane shape and position etc. Analyzing mechanical parts influence to the radiation pattern. Antenna impedance calculation and optimization. Antenna design including feeding network, impedance matching, PCB trace width calculation, freq. filters, switchers etc. Cooperation on experimental verification of the simulation model, crosstalk simulation based on PCB layout and radiated emission and interference calculation. Validate simulation results and antenna performance through lab measurements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, mechanical, and systems engineers.



YOU MUST HAVE:
 

Degree in Electronics, RF is an advantage. Strong RF technology background. Solid understanding of RF principles, impedance matching, and radiation patterns. Experience in RF / antenna design and simulation. Proven experience with CST Studio, ANSYS HFSS or other similar simulation system. Basic knowledge in antenna pattern measurement. Experience with measurement equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, anechoic chamber). English language is needed. You will be part of international RF team. Interest in a new and innovative technologies.
