Revenue Recognition Mission

Responsibilities

Review and document draft and executed contracts for compliance with Oracle’s Revenue Recognition, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (ASC 606) and other corporate policies to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.  Provide technical accounting advice to Sales, Business Practices, Deal Management and Legal teams during deal negotiation stage such that revenues are optimized where possible and revenue risk is mitigated in accordance Oracle’s Revenue Recognition Policy and GAAP (ASC 606)  Ensure all revenue allocations/adjustments are accounted for accurately and timely, and duly communicated to relevant stakeholders to facilitate in their accurate forecasting of revenues  Maintain an up-to-date and thorough knowledge of Oracle’s Revenue Recognition Policy, technical accounting policies and Oracle business practices Provide support to external auditors and participate in ad hoc projects as required
