Position Summary
The Revenue Manager is responsible for optimizing the hotel's revenue performance by developing pricing strategies, forecasting demand, analyzing market trends, and managing inventory across all revenue-generating departments. This role plays a critical part in maximizing profitability and supporting the commercial strategy of a luxury hospitality property.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Strategy & Forecasting
Develop, implement, and monitor pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability across all segments (Rooms, F&B, Events, etc.).
Create accurate daily, weekly, monthly, and annual forecasts.
Provide revenue reports and strategic insights to executive leadership.
Market Analysis & Competitor Benchmarking
Conduct regular competitive set analysis (Rate shopping, STR reports, OTA insights).
Monitor market trends, demand generators, and upcoming events to anticipate shifts.
Recommend tactical actions during high and low demand periods.
Distribution & Channel Management
Oversee the hotel's inventory and rate distribution across all channels (Brand.com, OTA, GDS, Wholesalers).
Optimize channel mix and reduce distribution costs by steering demand to direct channels.
Ensure consistency of rates and availability across platforms.
Systems & Technology
Manage and maintain Revenue Management System (RMS), Property Management System (PMS), and Channel Manager tools.
Ensure data integrity and alignment across systems.
Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Reservations, Front Office, and E-commerce teams to ensure alignment.
Lead the revenue meetings with key stakeholders.
Provide strategic input on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
QualificationsRequirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Economics, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years in hotel revenue management, preferably in a luxury or 5-star property.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in PMS (VHP, Protel), RMS (IDeaS, Duetto), and Excel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and make data-driven decisions.
Knowledge of distribution landscape and digital trends in hospitality.
