ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a data-focused, detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Data Analyst to support our ambulatory (professional) billing operations. This role will be instrumental in tracking and analyzing revenue cycle performance metrics to drive operational excellence. The analyst will design and maintain custom dashboards and reports, turning complex data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across the professional billing teams.
Analyze and monitor key ambulatory revenue cycle metrics, including accounts receivable (AR) balances, denial rates (initial and final), cash collections, and billing submission timelines.Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports using Tableau, Excel, and other analytics tools.Translate complex datasets into clear, insightful visualizations to support operational and strategic decisions.Partner with stakeholders across ambulatory billing teams to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and recommend improvements.Assist in the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks for ambulatory revenue cycle functions.Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all reporting activities.RequirementsEducation:
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Additional Preferences Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Health Administration, Data Analytics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).2+ years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle, finance, or data analytics role.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data interpretation and presentation.Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts) and Tableau (dashboard creation and data visualization).Familiarity with Epic, Oracle, Athena, or other revenue cycle management platforms preferred.Knowledge of ambulatory billing processes, denial management, and AR workflows.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Attributes
