POSITION OVERVIEW Marathon Pipe Line LLC (MPL) is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Revenue Analyst within the MPL Revenue Analysis Team.  This position is responsible for recording and reconciling pipeline movements, tank balancing, reconciling book to physical inventory, applying appropriate tariffs and pricing, analyzing monthly over/short data and preparing and transmitting shipper statements and invoices.  The successful candidate will regularly interact on business-critical matters with MPL Schedulers, Shippers, Connecting Carriers, Field Operations, Financial Accounting, MPL Operations Center and Measurements.  The position will interpret contracts, transportation service agreements, tariffs and corresponding pipeline rules and regulations, and other documentation to ensure revenue processes are appropriately developed to execute the assigned responsibilities.      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Reconcile and record all pipeline movement activity for responsible assets and apply appropriate tariffs and pricing within MPL’s proprietary settlement system, POLARIS.  Review and distribute corresponding month-end shipper statements and invoices, as applicable.Assist shippers with reconciling missing tickets, shipper statements, inventory balances, etc. Collaborate with Financial Accounting and Commercial Credit regarding new shipper onboarding, billing and timely collections, as applicable. Manage communication with Shippers, Connecting Carriers and Field personnel to analyze and resolve any movement or pricing discrepancies. Assist Measurements in analyzing potential cause of loss/gains on systems. Monitor book to physical variances and apply system over/short allocations by pipeline segments as dictated by pipeline tariffs and regulations. Provide various ad-hoc analysis at request of management for supporting internal functions including, but not limited to, audit support, shipper and revenue history, and inventory reporting.  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  Bachelor's degree required. Focus in accounting, business, or finance preferred.
 SKILLS:Working knowledge of oil and gas product pipelines and storage systems is highly preferred.Demonstrated ability to manage and adhere to tight deadlines.Ability to operate independently and provide solutions.Highly motivated and team-oriented individual with strong verbal and written communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
