Revenue Analyst
Job Description Job Summary
Maximize all revenues to and for the Hotel, including but not limited to Room and Banquet/Catering Revenues. Support Director of Revenue Management across functional decision making of all revenue generating departments including Sales and Marketing and Rooms. Manage all aspects of competitor intelligence; pricing; management of room inventory, and/or the yield values; distribution channels, market segment mix; acceptance/denial of major group bookings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
General ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the day to day running of the revenue department.Overall responsibility for the maintenance and management of the PMS (Opera), RMS (IDeaS), BI Tools (OTA Insight/Amadeus) and CRS systems (Synxis).Responsible for call tracking software and preparation of reports to track performance and optimize operations.Maintaining hotel information, availability and rate parity on all third-party internet sitesManagement of allocations for wholesale operatorsFacilitate on-going training plan for each team member.Prepare reports and participate in weekly revenue meeting.Monitor availability for subsequent 3 months daily and liaise with DORM.Co-ordinate and report on upsell incentive program.Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.Maintain positive guest relations at all times.Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.Set up workstation with necessary supplies and resource materials.Access all functions of the computer system.
Revenue Management
Understand and apply Revenue Management concepts to every Reservations task to ensure that the hotel's revenue is optimized, and highest profitability is achieved.Set up group room blocks in the system. Book group reservations against the room block.Monitor group cut-off dates and review with Sales or group contact.Compile and maintain information for daily/weekly/monthly reports.Maintain complete knowledge of own property as well as of competitors. Using the tools provided and in compliance with the Rosewood standards, maintains, updates and shares information in the areas of a master calendar of external events, competitor rate intelligence, RevPar penetration (RGI), arrival and spending patterns of commercial accounts, denial reports, meeting space allocation, guest capture rates (with the F&B Mgr), Loyalty program penetration both overall and by account (and for bookers), system contribution and trends in rooms and non-rooms revenues by channel, segment and account.Understand the composition of hotel profitability and uses this to evaluate business from local accounts and groups so as to provide input to future rate setting and negotiation.Monitor competitor pricing for all revenue generating departments, understand the dynamic of the local market and the demand generators, and recommend appropriate actions in relation to the hotel’s pricing and market mix strategy.Facilitate the Revenue Meeting and generates reports and analyses needed for these meetings, displaying key facts/trends etc.Monitor and determine demand periods for function space, rooms, and catering through an analysis of historical data and current bookings. Responsible for tracking and analyzing of booking pace, group wash, cut off enforcement for groups as well as denied and regretted business.Manage use of revenue systems* daily. This includes the responsibility for any manipulation of the yield hurdle points and daily inventory balancing where appropriate.Train and support hotel teams on revenue system* functionality and enhancements.Manage all channels (CRO, GDS, VOS) including but not limited to room types and sell strategy. Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Best Price Guarantee and managing third party distributors in compliance with Rosewood standards and rules.Guardian of Revenue Systems. Ensure compliance with all System rules and standard processes for IDeaS, Synxis CR, Opera PMS etc. Provide input to the annual budget process on all revenue aspects of the business.Provides medium-term revenue-based forecasts of required staffing levels to all departments.Provides technical support to Reservations and Front Office on up selling and negotiating techniques.Support Director of Revenue Management in championing all special projects relating to systems, process development, team training and development and other revenue projects.Works with Director of Finance Business Partner in the preparation and management of the Department’s budget.
