Description We are looking for a skilled Revenue Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring accurate revenue recognition and maintaining robust financial reporting practices. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with international teams, contribute to system processes, and support the organization’s financial operations.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee accurate project setup and revenue recognition in NetSuite, ensuring compliance with established policies.
• Collaborate with Project Management and Business Development teams to align revenue practices with organizational standards.
• Generate and distribute accounts receivable invoices promptly to maintain smooth financial operations.
• Track aged receivables and engage with customer finance teams to facilitate timely payments.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including profit and loss reports and balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to U.S. regulations.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to senior leadership, supporting strategic decision-making.
• Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and journal entries in QuickBooks and NetSuite.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash reporting for seamless cash flow management.
• Assist with the implementation and customization of NetSuite to optimize financial systems and processes. Requirements • Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger management.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite and QuickBooks for financial operations.
• In-depth understanding of revenue recognition principles and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various teams.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy.
