Retired and Senior Volunteer (RSVP) Director
University of Maine System
The University of Maine Center on Aging Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) offers older adults a more meaningful life in retirement through volunteer service that is responsive to community needs. Local RSVP programs have an established community service organization as a sponsor and receive funding from the Corporation for National and Community Service as well as the state and local communities.
Under the general direction of the Director of UM Center on Aging and AmeriCorps’ program policy guidelines, the RSVP Director has fulltime responsibility for the development and operation of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Programs, in coordination with the Center on Aging and RSVP Advisory Council. Typical hiring range for this soft-money funded position is $50,000 to $55,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
