Utilizing organizational skills, pharmaceutical expertise, and people skills, the manager works closely with patients, physicians, and other hospital and external personnel. The role involves overseeing the compounding and dispensing of medications, in addition to providing patients with specific information regarding side effects, interactions, and the expected benefits of the medications dispensed. The Pharmacy Manager is also accountable for managing the daily operations of pharmacy services, projecting and adhering to the budget, and productivity standards.
