Retail Payments Product Manager (Non-Card Money Movement)
The Retail Payments Product Manager (Non-Card Money Movement) will be responsible for the management of one or more retail core payments products for the US Retail Bank. Core Payments money movement services are non-card A2A instruments and include ACH, Wires (US Dollar Clearing and Cross border), Retail Bill Pay and Linked Account Transfers. The Product Management Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for the development of product plans, strategies and tactics in coordination with the Product Management team. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position. The Product Manager will help innovate & drive product development and manage day-to-day activities by working with internal and external partners. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in product management / project manager experience and is familiar with retail banking regulatory policies. In addition, has ability to work as partner, build relationships and influence, and has strong effective communication skills. A key responsibility will be growing business through client focused data-driven research and implementing strategies across channels to increase growth, revenue and return of investment and drive utilization and scale digital adoption. The payment industry is quickly moving to faster, real-time, and secure payment capabilities and Citi has the scalability to deliver the best solutions for our clients and align to core strategies. **Responsibilities:** + Assist in development and analysis of strategic product roadmaps, product enhancement and development, product launches, and product marketing to gain maximum benefit from each product, as well as review surveys and analyze competitive industry landscapes to identify relative trends, threats, and opportunities for product managers. Develop business cases to secure funding for new initiatives + Participate in day-to-day product management for core products such as product delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies as well as help the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results + Execute client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred status as a partner to Citi clients + Provide informal guidance or on-the-job training to new team members + Oversee client and competitor market research, develop product innovation roadmap, and assist product managers in addressing fundamental trials of product commoditization to create an advanced set of solutions + Contribute to achievement of acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals as well as oversee identification and execution of opportunities and gaps business plans + Implement team procedures, client problem resolution, and client management + Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. + Help define, develop, and implement product strategies through analyzing consumer behavior and preferences, competitive best practices, and product economics + Serve as subject matter expert and has oversight over the client experience, features and servicing processes + Initiate, plan and manages initiatives throughout the entire project lifecycle working with cross-functional project teams within Citi and external partners + Manage product approvals, define product requirements, create user stories, define acceptance criteria, oversee testing status, and post implementation activities + Make recommendations based on regulatory changes, competition, consumer trends and market research + Complete competitive analysis and identify key opportunities to drive innovation, revenue and drive positive client experience + Ensure a positive customer experience and the oversee the lifecycle of an initiative and day-to-day product support + Lead efforts to rapidly fix and remediate any situations which negatively impact customer experience + Develop and manage product metrics and reporting + Develop and align product content across channels and collateral + Highly self-motivated, effective communication and decision management skills, and has the willingness to learn and adapt in an agile environment **Qualifications:** + 6-10 years of relevant experience + Knowledge of payments necessary. Experience in ACH, Wires and RTP will give you an edge. + Knowledge of marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, and/or analytics + Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate + Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements + Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication + Demonstrated analytical skills + Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree/University degree.
