About the role Operational Excellence and Consumer Experience are the key factors of success of the Häagen-Dazs Shops business. Our Häagen-Dazs Shops are the Show Case of the Häagen-Dazs Brand while strongly supporting the retail Channel of Häagen-Dazs' Growth. The Operations Manager's primary focus is to maximise sales and trading Shops’ performance across the assigned region. This includes overseeing Individual as well as overall Shops’ performance & ensuring the implementation and monitoring of operational standards across the Network of Shops. The region is currently encompassing Greece, Cyprus, Romania, Croatia, with the addition of Germany by the end of 2025. What your role is Support franchised Häagen-Dazs shops in maximising profitability by focusing on Häagen-Dazs’ brand strategy, always viewed through the lens of the shop experience. Ensure consistent standards of quality, brand image, and service excellence for our guests. Reporting to the Häagen-Dazs’ Regional Operations & Training Manager, the Operations Manager will be accountable for the following critical success factors: Maintain the highest standards of personal conduct, ethics and appearance while ensuring compliance with General Mills values. Build Strong Franchisee Relationships: Foster trust-based relationships with franchisees by providing ongoing support, guidance, and collaboration to drive long-term business success. Achieve Business Goals: Drive operational and business performance for a portfolio of franchisees, aligning with targets set by regional operations leadership. Deliver consistent high Operating Standards, in accordance with the Häagen-Dazs Shop customer service (BCE) and environmental (ESP) audits, & E-reputation trackers & Dashboards. Franchisee Coaching & Accountability: Develop and execute coaching plans, conducting regular check-ins to ensure franchisees follow through on commitments and business priorities. Data-Driven Decision Making: Monitor key performance metrics, analyse data trends, and provide actionable insights to guide franchisees toward their goals. Track progress and ensure accountability. Shop Development Support: Assist franchisees in navigating remodels and new Shop’ builds by coordinating with the construction team, monitoring milestones, and ensuring compliance with operational standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between franchisees and relevant business teams to support consistent brand experience, same-store growth, and expansion efforts. Budget Management: Ensure efficient use of G&A expenses within budget parameters set by regional leadership. Administrative Responsibilities: Complete all required reports and administrative tasks promptly and accurately. What you will bring to the team You will have a background in marketing/communications, and possess 6+ years of experience, including at least two years as a Shops' Area/Training Manager in a Retail or Casual Food Chain (international or local). Prior in-shop and training experience is desirable. Your expertise encompasses all facets of business operations, from finance and employee management to project execution and relationship building. You thrive in challenging environments, proactively resolving complex issues and effectively supervising and motivating teams at all levels, from frontline staff to senior management and investors.
