About the role
Join our dynamic, diverse team at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Whistler as a Restaurant Manager. Oversee the Braidwood Tavern, and Braidwood Cafe operations
What you will do
Training, evaluating, leading, motivating, and coaching all employees to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.The ability to be visible in the operations, provide recognition, promote positive public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests.Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for breakfast, lunch or dinner.Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.Lead hiring & onboarding: Recruiting, interviewing, and selecting new employees.Customer Service: Maintaining high standards of customer service, greeting guests, conducting table checks, and promptly resolving customer complaints and inquiriesAmbiance Management: Maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall inviting atmosphere of the dining areaThe ability to work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to design an effective menu and wine list while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.What you bring
Minimum two years’ experience as a Department HeadThis position does require an applicant with a flexible schedule, able to work morning/afternoon/evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.Excellent written and communication skillsAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to have a flexible schedule, working weekendsPlease note that due to the large number of responses we receive, only candidates being considered for the above position will be contacted for an interview.
The ability to work in Canada is strongly preferred. Management candidates currently within Four Seasons may qualify for a work permit.
What we offer:
Salary Range: $72,000-$82,000 annually

Schedule & Hours:
As our hotel is open 24/7, 365 days a year, we expect our Executive Chef to be flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
