We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Child Respite Provider to care for a young boy with autism, either in his home or out in the community. This vital role offers the child’s parent/primary caregiver the opportunity to take much-needed time for self-care. This amazing boy enjoys playing outside, going for walks, riding bikes and going to the park. He also likes hot wheels, monster trucks, and the game Bottle Flip. He prefers to carry his favorite things (including his blanket) in two backpacks around with him.
Location: Eau Claire, WI
Pay: Hourly rate: $14.13 per hour Daily rate: $207.45
Hours per week: 7 hours per week 2 days per week: Parent prefers Wednesdays & Fridays Tasks:• Constant supervision • Companionship • Provide motivation for the boy to be active • Redirect behaviors when needed • Assist with ADLs: bathing, dressing, toileting, meal prep, and community outings.
Skills:• Compassionate and patient demeanor – possess the ability to remain calm • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Positive attitude, enthusiastic, engaging • Excellent work ethic, including being punctual, reliable and trustworthy Requirements: • Valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, & auto insurance • 10 or more years of experience working with autistic children. • Willing to undergo and pass a background check
