We are seeking a reliable, patient Child Respite Provider to provide temporary relief to the primary caregiver of a boy with special needs. The role involves providing direct supervision. Family is wanting a motivated employee that is energetic, patient, and positive while engaging the child in meaningful and enjoyable activities out in the community and in your own home. This pre-teen boy enjoys animals, board games (especially Monopoly), anime, science, and video games.
Location: Menomonie, WI
Wage: Hourly rate: $14.13 per hour               Daily rate: $207.45 (daily rate for shift over 8 hours)
Schedule: 2 weekends per month: start hourly to build a relationship with the child
Responsibilities: Provide direct supervision and ensure safety and well-being of the boy Engage child in age-appropriate and ability-appropriate activities Communicate professionally with family and agency staff as needed Redirect behaviors with consistency
Qualifications: Must be 18 years or older High school diploma or GED required Experience working with children/teens with special needs; developmental disabilities, Autism Valid driver’s license, reliable automobile, and auto insurance Willing to undergo background check
