Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and reliable Sibling Respite Provider to assist in providing relief for a family of two children with special needs in Colfax. The Sibling Respite Provider will support the children with engaging activities, assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), and offer emotional support, allowing the parents to take a well-deserved break. This position requires a kind and understanding individual who can offer a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment for the children.
Wage/Hours: $14.13-17.70/hour, up to 40 hours per month
Key Responsibilities: • Plan and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate activities • Assist with daily living tasks like eating, dressing, and bathing • Ensure safety and monitor the child at all times • Offer emotional support and build trust with the child • Communicate effectively with caregivers
Qualifications: • Previous experience with children (preferred) • Strong interpersonal skills and patience • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) • Ability to follow care plans and respond calmly in emergencies • Authorized to work in the U.S., with reliable transportation
Desired Traits: • Enthusiastic and creative, with a passion for working with children • Experience with children who have special needs (preferred) • Responsible and detail-oriented
