We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Youth Respite Provider to offer support and care for a child with disabilities in a home or community setting. This role is essential in providing temporary relief to families, ensuring that children receive the care they need while promoting their well-being and development. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for youth with diverse needs.

SHIFTS:
15 hrs/month - Respite $21/hour before taxes Respite would be needed every other weekend, schedule to be determined with parent and provider!! FLEXIBLE HOURS!Responsibilities
Provide attentive and personalized care to youth with disabilities, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Assist with daily living activities (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, promoting independence and skill development. Administer medications as prescribed while adhering to safety protocols. Engage children in recreational activities that foster social interaction and personal growth. Support families by offering respite care, allowing caregivers time for self-care and other responsibilities. Maintain clear communication with family members regarding the child’s progress and any concerns that may arise.Experience
Previous experience in caregiving, home care, or hospice care is preferred. Familiarity with working with individuals who have disabilities is highly desirable. Knowledge of medication administration practices is essential. Ability to prepare nutritious meals that cater to dietary restrictions or preferences. Experience developing or following care plans tailored to individual needs is a plus.
