We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible. We are looking for an engaging Respite Provider to hang out with an awesome kiddo to give mom and dad some time for self-care!
Flexible Scheduling, fun environment, get paid to have FUN.
Pay:
· $14.13/hourly
Schedule:
· 10/hours weekly
· Looking for 1-2 days after school during the week from 3:30-5:30pm (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays)
· Can be a set schedule or can be flexible based on availability
· 1-2 times a month on the weekend during the day or evening once rapport is built.
· To be officially discussed and determined between provider and managing party.
· Looking for occasional afterschool availability during weekdays.
· Occasional availability on weekends is a bonus!
· Additional can 10 hours per (1 per month) on the weekends.
Tasks:
· Assist with care needs (de-escalating heightened behaviors, teaching independence and confidence, assisting with home responsibilities, etc.)
· Respite care is to be conducted in the kiddo’s home until rapport is established.
· Engage with client and encourage appropriate behaviors. Be able to de-escalate heightened behaviors.
· Provide safety and companionship. Assist with emotional and behavioral support.
· Hang out and have fun! This kiddo enjoys jumping on their trampoline, walking over to the nearby neighborhood park to play, biking, fishing, and so much more..!
Qualifications:
· Valid Driver's License and/or reliable transportation.
· Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
· Must be at least 18 years of age at the start of employment.
· Must pass background check.
· Must be okay with pets in home – family owns 2 cats.
· Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time and keep up with an active kiddo.
