Respiratory Therapist Team Lead Nights (Full-Time)
Description

As a Respiratory Therapy Team Lead you will ensure the clinical needs of each child are implemented, support a multidisciplinary team approach to clinical care, and supervise staff to ensure delivery of quality care. 

Schedule

 What You'll Do

Ensures staff provide care according to the child’s care plan and provide clinical care according to best practices as defined by ChildServe policy and practice manuals.Ensures staff document accurately, completely, and timely as defined by nursing/respiratory therapy standards or practice and ChildServe policies and procedures and provides feedback to supervisor on how the documentation system can be improved.Serve as a preceptor and is responsible for ensuring newly hired staff are competent to provide care.Responsible for effectively managing staff performance as well as developing staff skills, talents and knowledge.Responsible for ensuring supervised staff are current with all unit and ChildServe specific information.Addresses stakeholder feedback effectively, respectfully, and professionally.Ensures environment is maintained according to regulatory requirements. Consistently demonstrates good stewardship of ChildServe equipment, supplies, and environment.Provides direct care as assigned.Ensures adequate numbers of qualified staff to meet the needs of children within defined clinical model.Within the respiratory therapy scope of practice and physician’s orders, ensures the implementation of each child’s care plan and achieves the goals set forth in that care plan.

What You'll Need

Certification from an accredited respiratory therapy program and current licensure to practice in the state of IowaRegistered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory CareTwo year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in in the field of pediatrics, rehabilitation and/or with children with complex medical needsAbility to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
