The Respiratory Therapist, in collaboration with other caregivers:

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates actions for respiratory care.Performs all technical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care and other core responsibilities necessary to maintain the flow of patient care and comfort in the unit.Responds to critical situations.Utilizes computer systems in performing position duties.Adheres to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures.Participates in Quality Control, preventative maintenance, and performance improvement activities.

Current California RCP licenseCurrent American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certificationExcellent interpersonal skillsEnjoys working with the publicMust be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in EnglishTechnically competent in the department skills inventoryComputer literate

Preferred:

Graduate of one or two year AMA School of Respiratory CarePrefer one or more years acute care experienceNICU experience

Required:

Current California RCP licenseCurrent American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certificationExcellent interpersonal skillsEnjoys working with the publicMust be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in EnglishTechnically competent in the department skills inventoryComputer literate

Preferred:

Graduate of one or two year AMA School of Respiratory CarePrefer one or more years acute care experienceNICU experience
