Performs therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency respiratory care procedures and provides assessment, treatment, care and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies or abnormalities. Exercises sound judgment, and developed clinical skills to provide input to and implement the patient's plan of care based on the diagnosis and physician orders in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring and care, and effective communication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orient other staff to the department.Job Description:
EDUCATION:
Other: Graduate of a two-year respiratory care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
RCP-Respiratory Care Practitioner
NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider if required at the entity
RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist within 90 days
OR CRT-Certified Respiratory Therapist within 90 days
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
2 years of recent relevant experience.

Pay Range is $45.95 to $57.12 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
