Job Title: Respiratory Technician

Job Description

We are seeking four Respiratory Technicians to assist with data collection and administer treatments according to research protocols for two studies commencing in the first week of September. The role involves performing Pulmonary Function Testing and requires the ability to administer spirometry tests as per specified criteria.

Duties

Assist with data collection related to patient respiratory function, including pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gas analysis, and oxygen saturation levelsPerform spirometry at designated time points on days 1, 4, and 11, including pre-dose and various intervals up to 24 hours after first inhalationMonitor patients' responses to interventions, document findings, and report any adverse events or deviations from the protocolEnsure spirometry performance meets criteria such as Grade A, B, or C status, as determined by the study doctor

Qualifications

Postsecondary certificate or associate degree in respiratory therapyCertification/licensure through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)Proficiency in spirometry and pulmonary function testingAbility to monitor and report patient responses accuratelyStrong attention to detail in data collection and documentation

Additional Skills & Qualifications

No prior clinical research experience required, but relevant experience is advantageous.

Work Environment

The work environment is a state-of-the-art, paperless Phase I clinical pharmacology unit, originally established as a hospital. It features fully integrated bedside electronic data capture systems and sets the standard for patient care. The facility specializes in IND-enabling clinical pharmacology studies, cardiovascular safety, and clinical proof of concept. It offers expertise in study design, medical writing, clinical data management, biostatistics, project management, clinical laboratory operations, and PK/PD analysis.

The work schedule is approximately 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
