Residential Program Counselor FT - NDP (CV2347-221) - Operations Division Residential Program Counselor (NDP) Support healing. Structure recovery. Champion independence. Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is seeking a compassionate and highly dependable Residential Program Counselor to join our Neurocognitive (TBI) Program team. In this therapeutic residential setting, you will support individuals with neurocognitive disorders in their day-to-day functioning, providing both behavioral support and guidance in daily living activities. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining a structured, respectful environment while helping clients build and sustain the skills needed for greater independence and quality of life. What You’ll Do: + Maintain a therapeutic, structured environment aligned with client treatment goals + Assist in implementing and monitoring client rehabilitation programs for cognitive and physical needs + Model and coach independent living skills such as hygiene, socialization, budgeting, and time management + Supervise and document medication administration and maintain shift logs + Respond to crisis situations with appropriate interventions and document incident reports + Facilitate outings, activities, and program participation per the program calendar + Conduct safety drills, facility rounds, and room inspections to ensure cleanliness and security + Monitor visitor activity and maintain facility safety documentation + Support and attend required team meetings, supervision, and training + Adhere to schedule reliability, dress code, and professional conduct policies What You Need: + High school diploma or equivalent + At least 2 years of practical experience working with individuals with neurocognitive disorders + Experience supporting individuals with both cognitive and physical impairments + Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport and maintain professionalism + Basic computer skills and documentation proficiency + Must obtain AACBIS certification (within 18 months of hire) and maintain it annually + Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency driver standards + Ability to work in a fast-paced, structured environment, including evenings and weekends as required Why This Role Matters: + This is more than a caregiving role—it’s an opportunity to make a direct impact in the lives of individuals with brain injuries and neurocognitive conditions.
