About the location:
The Four Seasons Private Residences Los Angeles is a 12-story tower comprising 59 custom for-sale homes with outstanding views of the surrounding Beverly Hills neighborhood and Hollywood Hills. Operated by Four Seasons, our homeowners experience best in class amenities, including a courtyard pool and private cabanas, IMAX Theatre and Lounge, a fully equipped fitness center with climate-controlled studio, and a Resident’s Lounge offering a Food and Beverage program throughout the day. Our team will provide thoughtful, intuitive, and dedicated service to our homeowners, who will either live full time in the building, or from time to time as their travels bring them to LA. As part of the residence team in a Four Seasons standalone residential property, you will have a unique opportunity to define and establish the operating model for stand-alone Four Seasons Private Residences. It is anticipated that we will be able to create unique opportunities to deliver service excellence, but this will require agility and flexibility in our roles in the service of our homeowners.About the role
At Four Seasons Private Residences Los Angeles, the Residential Engineer will inspect, maintain and repair all physical and mechanical areas on property.
What you will do:
Perform assigned duties with minimum supervision while maintaining attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow through, initiative, courtesy, honesty, integrity and cooperativeness.
Effectively complete daily mechanical equipment rounds: identifying issues and taking necessary action to address problems found.
Perform basic mathematical computations.
Ability to perform various clean-up and maintenance tasks as needed.
Provide service and repairs, depending on grade level, for electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC, refrigeration, interior, paint and decorating problems.
Provide electric repair and maintenance to motors, starters, breakers and associated equipment throughout the entire building.
Maintain and re-lamp all lamps in the Private Residences, including socket repair and replacement.
Provide preventative maintenance of all electrical equipment, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and/or motorized equipment and updating of appropriate logs.
Maintain logs for all work performed while on duty.
Clean all stations in Engineering and storage rooms, maintaining a neat and organized department.
Respond to all resident complaints regarding the maintenance of their room or public area in a timely manner.
Perform preventative maintenance.
Assist on all plumbing stoppages in the building.
Install or relocate any additional or existing equipment when necessary.
Check all mechanical rooms.
Respond to work orders or room inspection reports submitted by Department Heads.
Process purchase orders.
Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.
Maintain a good working relationship with other employees, providing instruction and encouragement as needed.
Handle and report any accident immediately, no matter how minor.
What you bring:
Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
Experienced in using and caring for hand and power tools.
Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours), climb ladders up to 30 feet and lift up to 75lbs.
3-4 years HVAC experience, 608 EPA Certified.
3-4 years plumbing and electrical in commercial/residential communities.
3-4 years of experience on chillers, commercial boilers, and kitchen grease collectors.
Thorough knowledge of luxury hotel-like services and amenities, including HOA high rise communities.
Familiar with BMS (Building Management Systems) and Access Control operations
Strong organizational skills.
Display a competent level of computer literacy is desirable including Word, Power Point and Excel preferred.
Able to multi task in a fast paced environment.
Experience in maintaining building key control system including locks hardware troubleshooting.
Experience working or training within the hospitality maintenance industry.
Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish.
Experience working on chillers, emergency generators and commercial boilers.
Certification in HVAC 608 EPA.
CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification, an asset but not required.
