Duties and Responsibilities

Provides crisis intervention Adheres to program policy and procedure manual Participates in team approach, sharing responsibility for Persons’ services Notifies  supervisory staff immediately in the event of a crisis, suspected illegal activity, or any behavior constituting an incident in the program Assists Persons with activities of daily living e.g. Personal hygiene, meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, money management, etc. Transports Persons in matters related to service delivery, e.g. medical appointments, shopping, job interviews, vocational program, banking, laundry Administer medication accordance with MAP policies and procedures Provides for and participates in Persons’ recreational activities, e.g. dining out, spectator sports, movies, etc. Participates in the development of Persons’ treatment plans Interacts with Persons in order to assess needs, provide information, discuss problems, identify patterns and stressors, and encourage growth and development Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in human service field preferred [needed for DC II, or additional experience]. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with population preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving history.
