Reports to: TRIGO Resident Engineering Manager\n

Overview\n

The TRIGO Resident Engineering Coordinator supports the successful delivery and development of Resident Engineering services for automotive OEMs and suppliers. This role is primarily focused on project coordination, customer support, and operational execution, with occasional supervisory responsibilities for resident engineering teams. The Coordinator ensures projects are launched, monitored, and completed effectively while maintaining strong customer relationships and promoting continuous improvement.\n

The Coordinator ensures projects are launched, monitored, and completed effectively while maintaining strong customer relationships and promoting continuous improvement.\n

Key Responsibilities\n

 \n

Project Coordination & Support\n\nCoordinate and support resident engineering projects from launch through completion.\nMonitor project KPIs and prepare reports for management and clients.\nSupport problem-solving activities and corrective action plans.\nAssist with customer escalations and ensure issues are addressed promptly.\nEnsure compliance with company processes, quality systems, and health & safety standards.\n\n

Customer & Business Support\n\nServe as a primary point of contact between customers (OEMs\/suppliers) and the Resident Engineering team.\nRepresent TRIGO and its partners professionally at client sites.\nIdentify potential opportunities to expand Resident Engineering services and share business development leads.\nPromote customer satisfaction through proactive communication and reliable project delivery.\n\n

Team Support & Supervision\n\nProvide technical guidance and support to resident engineers and technicians as assigned by manager(s).\nAssist manager with onboarding, training, and resource allocation for new and existing team members.\nCommunicate with field teams to ensure alignment with customer needs.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and identify field RE team training needs.\n\n

Communication & Reporting\n\nMaintain consistent communication with the Resident Engineering Manager regarding project status, risks, and opportunities.\nCommunicate with sales\/business development on opportunities to grow the business with new and existing customers.\nPrepare project information, customer updates, and internal reports as required.\nEnsure appropriate and timely communication with both internal and external stakeholders.\n\n

Travel Requirements\n\nFrequent travel to customer sites across the US and Canada.\nOccasional extended stays during project launches or escalations.\nAbility to travel with little advanced notice.\nValid US passport may be required.\n\n

 \n

Qualifications\n

Required:\n\nDegree in Engineering or associated STEM discipline preferred, technical experience, or equivalent experience.\n3–5 years of experience in the automotive or other technical manufacturing industry.\n1–2 years in a resident engineering, project coordination, or comparable role.\nKnowledge of quality principles (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, problem solving, Lean).\nExcellent organizational and communication skills.\nValid driver's license.\n\n

Preferred:\n\nExperience launching projects.\nExperience supervising or coordinating technical teams.\nClient relationship experience.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and related software tools.\nAdditional language skills a plus.\n\n
