Job Description
Join a dynamic team as a Resident Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in upcoming automotive audio programs. You will be instrumental in designing, integrating, and implementing audio systems for unique vehicles, ensuring superior sound quality and functionality. Responsibilities
+ Engage with customers to resolve design issues and provide technical support.
+ Track and communicate internal issues with customers.
+ Work within Chrysler CN system for 2D and 3D packaging of audio components.
+ Provide technical expertise in automotive audio systems and collaborate with OEM engineering teams.
+ Ensure successful packaging and integration of audio systems into vehicles.
+ Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports to communicate project status.
+ Conduct audio system testing and validation to ensure compliance with quality standards.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively to resolve technical challenges.
+ Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot audio-related issues during development and production stages.
+ Focus on meeting OEM's audio system-level requirements and expectations.
Essential Skills
+ Deep understanding of audio systems including hardware components and signal processing.
+ Familiarity with automotive acoustics and challenges in vehicle environments.
+ Experience in audio system testing and validation.
+ Effective collaboration and communication skills.
+ Knowledge of automotive industry regulations and standards.
+ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
+ Customer-focused approach to deliver audio solutions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
+ At least 5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical engineering.
+ Previous experience with audio components such as amplifiers and speakers.
+ Understanding of product development and validation processes.
+ Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software for packaging components inside vehicles.
+ Experience working with Stellantis or European companies is a plus.
+ Italian language skills are advantageous.
Work Environment
Work in a small office located in Lake Orion, alongside 1-2 other team members. Expectation to be in the office 3 days a week with the flexibility to work remotely on other days. Independence and an entrepreneurial mindset are valued as you will be one of few people in the U.S. operations. Travel to Mexico and Europe is expected 1-2 times a year.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
