Our client is bidding for work on the Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (Line-5): Southern Route and they are seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Resident Engineer, Rolling Stock.  The Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Investment Project (Line-5): Southern route (the Project) aims to alleviate traffic congestion and mitigate air pollution in Dhaka by constructing the mass rapid transit system, contributing to economic development, and improving the urban environment. The Project is a fast-track project and it is expected to enhance east-west connectivity via the Central Business District (CBD) as there is no single continuous main road in the east-west direction. Main Tasks & Duties: - Report to the Chief Resident Engineer (Railway System);
 - Review and check the Contractor(s) design on rolling stock and Depot Equipment of the entire project in accordance with the Employer's Requirements;
 - Be responsible for supervising the design and commissioning of Rolling Stock and the design & installation of Depot Equipment;
 - Assist the Interface Management Lead Specialist in coordinating among the Contractors (CP-01 to CP-09) to establish the design criteria for interfacing and integrating/harmonising;
 - Assist the Client in testing, commissioning & trial of the rolling stock and Depot Equipment and assist in handover to operating authorities;- Assist the Interface Management Lead Specialist in making Contractors' design interface coordination and recommend measures to eliminate or mitigate potential conflicts and claims aiming to make integration/harmonisation in various elements in the Project in terms of construction, operation and maintenance of the Project;
 - Make suitable arrangements for monitoring the performance of the Rolling Stock and Depot Equipment Contractors and their subcontractor(s);
 - Provide monthly reports covering the progress of the rolling stock design and fabrication works, including implementation schedule, quality, quantity and safety;
 - Assist the Chief Resident Engineer (Railway System) in recommending measures to prevent, resolve, counter or mitigate claims related to Rolling Stock and Depot Equipment;
 - Inspect and monitor the implementation of the training provided by the Contractor(s) to confirm that it complies with the requirements of the relevant contracts;
