Residency Program Administrator

Under the direction of the applicable Program Director, the Residency Program Administrator directs the daily operation of the applicable Holzer Department Residency office, ensuring smooth flow of planning, preparation and execution of activities related to maintaining program accreditation, residency recruitment, resident education, and wellness. Acts as a resource for the Program Director, Assistant and/or Associate Program Directors, and residents and is responsible for administration of the residency program in accordance with the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accreditation requirements under the guidance of the Marshall Community Health Consortium (MCHC) Graduate Medical Education (GME) office. Serves as the primary and initial point of contact for faculty, residents, prospective residents, various departments, and participating sites on matters related to the GME training program. As applicable, interacts with the MCHC Department Residency Administrator to ensure continuity of administrative functions between Holzer and the Sponsoring Institution. Interact frequently with the MCHC Designated Institutional Officer (DIO), Institutional Coordinator, and the Marshall University Office of Graduate Medical Education (MUGME).

 

Education and Experience

 

· Any combination of training and experience equivalent to an associate degree and/or bachelor degree in office administration, business, healthcare management, education, or other related degree.

 

· Three years of clerical/administrative experience. Experience within healthcare preferred.

 

· Experience in a dynamic, fast paced environment preferred.

 

· Certification with the Training Administrators of Graduated Medical Education (TAGME) preferred.
