                       Residence Coordinator

 

SUMMARY:Full-time; Permanent, Thursday to Monday schedule Day shifts, hours may vary, weekend availability Emergency phone duty Reports to Residence Manager

OBJECTIVES:

To support the Residence Manager in running an efficient departmentTo ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction is delivered to studentsTo ensure Weekends are run smoothly and residence assistants are supported

        To support students in their daily life and enable them to achieve the best experience and highest learning possible

        To promote the best image of the school in the local community through contact with local suppliers, contractors, and others

To ensure all health and safety requirements are adhered toTo ensure effective and efficient teamwork To maintain EF policies, regulations, and criteria of accrediting bodies

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

To assist the Residence Manager ensuring Weekends are well planned and run smoothly with lots of energy and welcomingTo organize the work process / delegate duties between residential assistants.To assist with Weekend reception duties overseeing arrivals and departures from residence accommodation To prepare arrival & departure documents for residential assistants on duty at weekendTo ensure standards of rooms and quality of services are maintained by conducting weekly building checks, checking and updating posters and signs when appropriateTo assist with curfew and ensuring under 18 students are in their rooms by assigned timeTo assist students with general enquiries and take appropriate action in the event of student misconduct, addressing concerns with relevant school staffTo ensure student welcome packs are ready for each weekend’s new arrivalsTo ensure Safeguarding procedures are in place and concerns are shared with relevant school staffTo follow EF procedures and take responsibility for fire safety in the event of alarms by receiving training in operating fire alarm system, familiarising self with evacuation procedures, and always acting appropriately in the event of a fire or alarmTo ensure communication between day and night staff during the Weekend is effective and followed upTo support security team when requiredTo assist with emergency phones when required ensuring teamworkTo attend regular staff meetings and adhere to the Residence Assistant Code of Conduct   Report issues or concerns promptly to the Residence ManagerConfirms bookings alongside the Student Services Team Follows up on residence issues raised in student evaluationAssists students and sales offices with residence requests/changes and ensuring the in house booking system is up-to-date.
