Your Role EF Oxford has an exciting opportunity for a responsible and energetic individual to support the Residence Team. Your mission: ensure international students have a memorable and safe living environment throughout their stay in the UK. This is an unsalaried position, but with free accommodation provided. You would be working up to 28.5 hours per month including holidays & weekends (23 hours of work p/m) - role beginning end of August/early September. This is in addition to any other salaried role or responsibilities within EF Oxford Responsibilities Adhere to RA Code of Conduct Participate in regular emergency phone duty as per Rota Assist residential students with general enquiries Arrange, promote and lead monthly residence meetings Personalize the student experience by knowing student names, nationality, special requirements etc. Report all issues/events to the Residence Manager in a timely manner Liaise with Residence Manager to assist with follow up on any low graded first week student evaluation results Implement a system for gathering unsolicited/anonymous feedback such as a suggestion box or QR code, then follow up Ensure that the school’s activities program is widely promoted in the residence by liaising with activities staff Ensure that all areas look clean and tidy Ensure you have access to basic cleaning materials and are ready to do essential emergency cleaning if required Ensure you have access to spare bedding and are ready to make beds for unexpected new arrivals if required Ensure you have access to emergency items to give students who arrive with no luggage Keep all residence noticeboards up to date and well presented with current information Organize and attend regular student briefings, focus groups and school student council Attend regular staff meetings Introduce and/or maintain system for celebrating student birthdays As a Resident Assistant you are expected to be readily available. All RAs are required to remain on the property a minimum of three evenings during the week. When on emergency call you should be no more than 30 minutes travel from the residence, able to respond to a call at any time and sleep at the property every night.
