Research Trainees

The Institute

The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. The CRG is composed by an interdisciplinary, motivated and creative scientific team which is supported both by a flexible and efficient administration and by high-end and innovative technologies.

In April 2021, the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) received the renewal of the 'HR Excellence in Research' Award from the European Commission. This is a recognition of the Institute's commitment to developing an HR Strategy for Researchers, designed to bring the practices and procedures in line with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (Charter and Code).

The role

We are looking for 2 research trainees. These positions have been created to advance our understanding of how circadian and cell cycle regulation intersect with cellular metabolism and chromatin biology.

The role will focus on performing integrative analyses by combining state-of-the-art imaging technologies with R-based data management and mass spectrometry profiling. By examining chromatin-localised metabolic enzymes across diverse cell lines and tissues, the researcher will generate insights into the molecular dynamics that shape cellular functions. This work will provide critical contributions to ongoing projects and foster innovation at the interface of metabolism, epigenetics, and cell biology.

About the lab

The Sdelci Lab is dedicated to exploring the interplay between metabolism and chromatin regulation, with a particular focus on how these processes impact cellular function and identity. We combine cutting-edge imaging, proteomics, and computational approaches to uncover new molecular mechanisms at the crossroads of metabolism and epigenetics. Our team is inclusive, collaborative, and friendly, fostering a supportive environment where creativity, curiosity, and diverse perspectives drive scientific discovery.
