As Research Technologist, you will join Dr. Chung and her team of postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and research students. In this role, your work will include both research and administrative tasks, such as performing cell cultures, feeding Cardiomyocytes, maintaining iPSC lines and creating engineered heart tissues. Your efforts are integral to innovative and exciting developments, and you will receive extensive hands-on training and experience. **A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM - 5:00PM, with rotating holiday and weekend requirements.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Participate in daily research project activities.
+ Plan, organize, perform and monitor daily project protocols.
+ Collect, prepare and maintain required research documentation, including informed consent records, case records, clinical notes and medical reports.
+ Report and assist with managing protocol deviations, adverse events and other project-related issues.
+ Be responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the lab.
+ Order and purchase supplies, gather information on new equipment and recommend purchases.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ High School Diploma or GED and four years of experience in a research or related laboratory environment OR Associate's Degree and three years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience OR Master's Degree and one year of experience
+ Experience with cell cultures

**Physical Requirements:**
+ Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
+ Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
+ Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
+ Ability to distinguish color
+ Manual dexterity to handle specimens and repair equipment
+ Ability to lift and transport equipment or specimens weighing up to 20 pounds
+ May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, bio-hazards, radioactive materials, etc.
**Personal Protective Equipment:**
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
**Pay Range**
Minimum hourly: $20.77
Maximum hourly: $31.68
